The Museum on the Vistula is a new exhibition pavilion of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. It`s located at Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie 22, next to the Copernicus Science Center and Vistula river. This whole area with its new boulvards is a “must see” when you visit the Polish capitol.
The building was designed by Austrian architect Adolf Krischanitz. The pavilion was used before by the Kunsthalle in Berlin. The Museum on the Vistula’s façade is covered with paintings of Sławomir Pawszak whose project won in an open contest. There is a café, bookstore and a small education centre. All exhibitions are free of charge.
