The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw is a quite new institution housed temporarily in a modernist building constructed in the sixties that used to be a furniture store “Emilia”. The museum is still waiting for its official headquarters, however it has already organized many really interesting exhibitions and art events. There are also many events relating to modern art, such as film screenings, lectures, meetings and festivals. The “Emilia” building is already an interesting piece of art on its own. Check this out now because there are plans – unfortunatly – to take the building down in future. The entry fee to all exhibitions and events is always free.
