Museum of Caricature and Cartoon Art

The Museum of Caricature is situated on Kozia street very close to Warsaw Old Town. It`s located in the old orangery of the Primate’s Palace. It`s the only museum of that kind in Poland. It collects satiric graphics, paintings and photographs. It was founded by Eryk Lipiński, Polish journalist and cartoonist. Its collections include over 20 thousand works of Polish and foreign artists. The oldest works are dated XVIII-th century. In collections there are works of such prominent Polish artists as Maja Berezowska, Eryk Lipiński, Edward Lutczyn, Andrzej Mleczko, Jan Piotr Norblin and Henryk Sawka. The museum organises many temporary exhibitions, at least 5 every year so it has always something interesting to offer.
